The Space

A unique dialogue between art, architecture, and heritage

The Historic Barn

The Mecenas project aims to revitalize a rural barn more than 200 years old, preserving its architectural character while transforming it into a dynamic cultural environment.

The renovation respects the original structure of the building, including its wooden beams, stone walls, and open volumes typical of traditional rural barns.

Rather than simply restoring the building, the project seeks to give it a new life by transforming it into a multifunctional cultural space.

This transformation reflects a broader vision: preserving local heritage while creating new opportunities for artistic expression and community engagement.

Artistic Spaces

The Mecenas Art Gallery is gradually evolving into a multifunctional cultural space, designed to host a wide range of artistic and community activities.

The space includes:

Art Gallery

A dedicated exhibition space for contemporary art, featuring both local and international artists.

Creative Workshop Spaces

Areas designed for artistic workshops, educational programs, and collaborative projects.

Music Studio

A space where musicians and sound artists can experiment, rehearse, and create.

Community Room

A flexible space for meetings, discussions, screenings, and cultural events.

Cultural Bar and Wine Cellar

A convivial environment where visitors can meet, exchange ideas, and enjoy locally inspired food and drinks.

The Silo Viewpoint

Next to the barn stands an old agricultural silo, once used by farmers.

As part of the project, this structure will be transformed into a panoramic viewpoint overlooking the Berdorf region.

The silo will become both a symbolic and physical landmark of the Mecenas project — offering visitors a unique perspective on the surrounding landscape while reinforcing the connection between art, architecture, and nature.
